Offering a sacrifice is one of the greatest deeds a Muslim can do on Eid Al Adha. If you are financially capable, don't miss this grand opportunity where you can reap a tremendous reward.
If you are sacrificing an Udhiyyah (usually the father/husband of the house does this) then refrain from cutting nails and hair until eid day. This ruling applies only to the one who is going to offer the sacrifice, and not to the rest of his family,
The Prophet (ﷺ) said: "He who has a sacrificial animal with him whom (he intends) to offer as sacrifice, and he enters the month of Dhu'I-Hijja, he should not get his hair cut or nails trimmed until he has sacrificed the animal." (Sahih Muslim)
